1982 – 1985
What if the power fails? The diesel generators need 60 to 75 seconds to reach full power. Can the turbine, as it runs down, keep the cooling pumps going that long?
They try three times: in 1982 on reactor 3, in 1984 after changes to the electrical system, and again in 1985. Each time the test fails. The fourth attempt is set for reactor 4, in April 1986.

Officially, that couldn’t even happen: an RBMK reactor doesn’t explode.

Behind the closed doors of the plant, the Russians were secretly working on something else entirely: a cure for radiation sickness. The files only call it “Codename: The Serum”.
Signal lost
The serum was left behind in the plant. Since then the MML (Military Medical Lab) has sent team after team to bring it back. Some of them went missing on the way, and our last team has not answered for years.

Tip: with 2 players it is more of a challenge. For experienced escape teams we advise a maximum of 5.
The base price for Chernobyl is €249.50 for 2, 3 or 4 players. Each extra player costs €25. The maximum is 7 players. All prices include 6% VAT.
This live escape room experience suits both beginners and experienced escape room players. Chernobyl is not suitable for young children and pregnant women. From 14 with family is possible, as long as they like a thrill! Teens who are or turn 16 can enter Chernobyl without adults. Beyond that, everyone is welcome, whatever their age.
Chernobyl is our scariest room: very scary. Actors can be there before, during and/or after the game. Prefer less fear? Undercover Skill Facility is mildly scary, and Harbor Hotel can be played without an actor.
If you are pregnant, we advise against Live Chernobyl because of small physical efforts and jump scares. The safest choice is the Undercover Skill Facility. Harbor Hotel can also be played without an actor, which makes it calmer. Playing anyway? Mention it clearly when you book, so we can take extra care.
Wear comfortable shoes and clothes. Sometimes you have to crawl or climb. A tight suit is less suitable.
Sometimes your team can’t be complete. Up to 6 hours before the start time you can move or change the booking yourself, with the link in your confirmation email.
